There Could Never Be A More Beautiful You!

I heard this song, More Beautiful You, written by Jonny Diaz, on the radio today and I wanted to share part of the lyrics with you. Our world today is so corrupt. Even as a young christian woman I also have felt the pressure to conform to its demands. These lyrics might lift someone up today like they did me - I know I have several young readers, so this was posted with you in mind!

More Beautiful You
Little girl fourteen flipping through a magazine
Says she wants to look that way
But her hair isn’t straight her body isn’t fake
And she’s always felt overweight

Well little girl fourteen I wish that you could see
That beauty is within your heart
And you were made with such care your skin your body and your hair
Are perfect just the way they are
There could never be a more beautiful you
Don’t buy the lies disguises and hoops they make you jump through
You were made to fill a purpose that only you could do
So there could never be a more beautiful you

Blessings!

  1. What a beautiful song. That is so true today. Even some Christian young ladies feel like they need to dress more like the world in order to be accepted. What a blessing to know that I don't have to be anything other than the girl that God made me. That I don't have to conform to some image of what is considered beautiful. And what a gift it will be to be blessed by God one day with a man who love's me for who I am not what I look like.

That was so encouraging to me, Julia! Thanks so much for sharing it!

    Hugs!

    Your sister in Christ,
    Jessica

  3. Hello Julia!
When I saw this post, I wanted to jump right on and read it. =) 'Tis funny, because my friend that I met online, Esther, just shared this song with me a couple of days ago.
I think it is very encouraging. And it is true. Even as Christian girls, thoughts from the world do seep into our minds, even when we are young. But we need to realize that it isn't the outside that counts. Our outside is just a "shell" that we will lose one day. And besides, no matter *what* we look like on the outside, if we're beautiful on the inside, then we *become* beautiful on the outside. =) I've seen it so much in so many people I know!
Thanks for sharing the song! =)
