I made these up for Miss Dashwood's contest over at Yet Another Period Drama Blog. :)
I'll smile if you leave a comment with which JA movie each quote I used comes from! (except for picture #2) :D *Hint* - it's not the same movie as each picture.
And PLEASE do not take these without asking! Thanks. :D (except, of course, for Miss Dashwood)
Which was your favorite?
Wow, your buttons are SO beautiful! I love the color combination in the "poor nerves" one!
ReplyDeleteOh! And do let me try and guess the quotes... is the first one from Mansfield Park? I can't quite place it.
ReplyDeleteThe second one is a mixture of Winston Churchill and Mrs. Augusta Elton. :)
The third is from Mr. Darcy himself.
The fourth is from Mrs. Bennet.
The fifth is a paraphrase of Miss Marianne Dashwood. :)
I loved these!
HA HA HA..... I think the first two were my favorite, but the others were very witty. Love how you put different movies with different quotes.
ReplyDeleteAllison
P.S. My family and I so enjoyed visiting with you guys! : )
Miss Dashwood - so glad you liked the buttons!
ReplyDeleteThe first quote is from Emma, a line of Mrs. Elton's, actually. :D It seemed to fit with Caroline Bingley's ridiculous feather... Your other guesses were correct! :D
Allison,
Oh, we had so much fun getting together with you too! I can't wait to have ya'll over to our house! :)
Haha! I love how well you did the word art! I could do nothing at all with mine because our silly filter blocks Picnik and other ones like that. :P
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rachel! *cough* uh - Adobe Photoshop. :D We got it for some of our home-based business operations... but who says it can't be used for the fun stuff too? :D
ReplyDelete#1 Mrs. Elton in Emma
ReplyDelete#2 reminds me of Mrs. Elton.
#3 the Miss Woodhouse is from Emma. The last part is Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice.
#4 is Mrs. Bennet from Pride and Prejudice.
(If I had more space I could tell you, from memory, exactly what part of the book each quote is from. I've read both books 2 or 3 times each this month :D )
Great job, Allie! :D
ReplyDeleteOh! This is absolutely, completely unrelated to this post, but I noticed that you have Gracenotes listed in your blog list... are you acquainted with the Mally sisters? I know them through Bright Lights, and I just wondered if you were familiar with Bright Lights as well.
ReplyDeleteAnyway. Random question. :)
Julia these are lovely! I love the color combinations on each one, especially on the Keep Calm Mrs. Elton button! I hope you win! :)
ReplyDeleteMiss Laurie,
ReplyDeleteThank you! That is very sweet of you. :D I liked yours too! :)
Miss Dashwood, I left a comment on your blog. :D
(I hope to meet the Mally sisters in South Carolina at the TTD homeschool convention this spring) :)
Haha, pink ribbons, hahahahaha....
ReplyDeleteLove those movies! I'm a lover of Victorian things! Vintage is wonderful!
