Exposing Narnia

Now hold on, before you get all riled up and mad at me I want to say that I do not want to offend anyone or start a long involved conversation on C.S. Lewis's background and religious beliefs. :) But there is information out there that I believe needs to be considered. I have just found a good source of info at this blog, Exposing Narnia, and it has some very important information about certain aspects of the Chronicles of Narnia that are quite disturbing...and true.
Please, if you have read the Chronicles of Narnia or watched any of the movies or are in any way interested about knowing more about the things behind it, please click here and read this blog thoroughly, especially some of the links.
I'm praying that all of you who read the blog will be enlightened as you peruse the information. Form your own conclusions...I've formed mine.
Blessings to all of you, my dear readers.
Julia

  3. Hi Julia!
I had actually run across this blog before. Not to be rude, but I think that she is being a bit harsh. I know I may sound really stupid and childish when I say that, but I don't agree with her at all. I think that Lewis is one of the most amazing Christians that ever lived. But that has always been my opinion. But that's just what I think. I know other people think otherwise, but when you begin to read what he wrote, you truly see the deep theology in his works. Just my own personal opinion. I hope I didn't offend anyone, I just want to say that's what I think.

  6. Ugh!!! I just typed up a HUGE LOOOOONNNNNGGGGGGG comment and it skipped around some sites and then closed. So no long comment. It disappeared. Into thin air. And people say that kind of stuff doesn't happen...

Alright, then I'll just give you the bare necessities and talk to you when I get back from vacation.

Thanks for the comment! I'm so happy to know someone who agrees with me (besides my wonderful family, of course). :o)

I miss you! I'm looking forward to seeing you again...even if I do have to wait a couple of weeks... I love you, girl!!! And I hope you have a great Labor Day weekend!

    XO,
    Joanna

  7. Hi Julia,

Sorry I haven't been commenting. I've been rather busy lately.

Your jewelry is lovely! I wish I had a talent like that. I enjoyed your post on noticing the little things and getting more out of life(I like the wet lettuce picture). The simple woman's day book is a very good idea. My computer isn't fast enough to load the Narnia blog today. But I'll try later.

  8. Julia,

I'm afraid I don't agree at all with the website you linked in your post. Many of the questions they bring up are valid and thoughts I have hashed over in my mind.

But... I have found Biblical answers to all of them, and I believe most (if not all) of The Chronicles of Narnia are good christian allagorys (sp?).

    Just my $0.02

  9. To me the Narnia books should NOT be considered Christian literature. They are just stories. They are something a man imagined up in his head. In my opinion they are not biblically sound and should be read only for pleasure (if you like magic). Maybe just don't become infatuated with them or base your beliefs off of them.

    Just my opinion!
