Julia, I wanted to make a comment about something you said on Jsamine's latest post. About your future spouse and music.
ReplyDeleteI just wanted you to know that I don't think you are wrong for desiring a guy that listens to more than "just hymns" I know that I cannot marry a guy who says that is all I can listen to. Actually, that statement borders on legalism for me. It's the same with TV/movies. Everything will be censored, but if the guy courting me says "no" to all of it....bye, bye.
My parents know about these things. They will always remind me not to settle for second best!
Everyone,
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
Hi Ella!
Thank you so much. :) You're right, it borders on legalism... in fact I think it could be classified as legalism! :) And AMEN - everything will be examined and held up to my/our convictions. That's what we, as believers, should be doing. :) I appreciate the comment! :)
Julia
Julia, thank you so much for the award! Forgive our lack of gratefulness before! We've been super busy, trying to catch up! We're working on getting up a post to pass on the lovely awards!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Abigail @ Pearls and Diamonds
I just wanted to add that I was wrong in saying that listening to just hymns could be classified as legalism... legalism is a strong word, and I used it carelessly. We all have a right to hold our own convictions and it is not my place to say if yours are right or wrong. I'm very, very sorry if it offended anyone. :(
