Sigh. For lack of really 'interesting' subject material, you will have to put up with another old 'What I've been doing recently" post. :) Hopefully you don't mind too much......
Let's see... I have been drying flowers in my closet:
(Sorry about the awful lighting - ick...) My dad brought home from work the beautiful bouquet that these flowers came from - the Landscape Design company he works for also runs a florist shop on the side, and Daddy occasionally comes home with 'leftovers'! :D (I love it!)
I've also been reading "Just Jane" by Nancy Moser, a sort of Novel/Biography of Jane Austen's Life... I found it quite believable and most amusing. :)
From that book I also learned that there isn't really a portrait of Jane Austen - they created one after her death from an unfinished pencil sketch her sister Cassandra drew. Interesting, no?
So, my readers, I have ....
A Question!
"What would you like me to write about?"
I'll be curious to see your answers. :) If you're drawing a blank, here are a few suggestions for you to choose from, if you so desire...
- Recipes
- More Photos
- Poems/Scripture
- Links to my fav blogs
- Random Ramblings (haha)
- My opinions on practical matters
That's basically all I can think of at the moment... hopefully there's a reader lurking out there who will be inspired to write me a stellar, bright, witty comment with lots of inspiration in it! :D
Hello!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about starting to read "Just Jane" sometime, so I'm glad you find it interesting!
One idea is to put a poll on your sidebar about what to post.
I would like to read anything anybody else suggests. You are doing a great job with your blog! Keep up the great work!
~Annie~
Well, unfortunately, I am not "a reader inspired to write a stellar, bright, witty comment with lots of inspiration in it!" Sorry! Lol! ;D
ReplyDeleteI was basically in the same predicament with my Homemaker Happenings! :) Ena gave me some good ideas though, and a lot of the girls wanted some stuff on sewing and Fall-ish stuff. So maybe that will give you some ideas. Don't know! I love all your ideas above (especially the recipes), and even your ramblings are interesting to me, so anything you posted about would be awesome! :D (Yeah, I am NO help! Lol!)
Those flowers are lovely! They look so funny hanging in your closet though, what an interesting place to dry flowers! ;) Lol! Does it make your closet smell pretty? :) Hmm, I have never read that book...I wonder if the library has it? :)
Love and Hugs!

Hi Julia,
ReplyDeleteI like your "everyday life" posts, and recipes would be great too! I am really enjoying your posts this month! I might have to try your "post-a-day" idea sometime. :)

P.S. - Thank you for entering my giveaway! :)
You should write about how much you love your church family :). Haha, just kidding. (Well, if you want to...) out of that list though, I definitely vote random ramblings. It has the word "random" in it. That's enough for me :D.
ReplyDeleteI would live to hear about your family, your goals/dream ans stuff like that.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm....I love your recipes and "everyday life" posts especially! (though anything would be quite fine!)

Hey there!
ReplyDeleteWhat I tend to enjoy the most is poetry, 'random ramblings', "opinions", etc. How about s'more posts on what the Lord has been showing you, and doing in your life? Observations from your quet time, etc. These are always an encouragement to read. :)
~Noelle
Hi Julia,
ReplyDeletePretty much, I enjoy anything you feel like posting! If it's just a story of something that you did, or simply a photo.
I really love it when you share links to other blogs or sites that are useful or inspiring to you.
Also, sharing about things that you make, like jewelry, what you're crocheting, or other crafts. It's always nice to see what you're creating.
I always enjoy the recipes you post. The pictures are just so delicious to look at!
Checking your blog every single morning has become an exciting routine for me. Can't wait to see what's new!
