A Newsy Little Post #2

Fall is in the air! The leaves in the persimmon trees around about my log home are turning red! The post oaks shall soon follow with a burnished coppery brown, and the yellow tulip poplars are turning a pretty lemon yellow. I love it. Autumn is one of my favorite seasons!
My little brother's birthday is on Friday! Steven is turning 13, and with this birthday comes the fact that all of us kids are now teenagers. I'm 17, Mark is 14, and Steven will be 13! Wow - time flies when you're having fun!
I have been reading Family Driven Faith by Reverend Voddie Baucham Jr. It is an excellent book! I highly reccomend it to anyone interested in a biblical perspective of family life.
Today my brothers and I went down to a local park and played Frisbee. It was good practice, which should be helpful because we're going up to our friend's house on Friday to play Ultimate Frisbee! I can't wait!
I'm currently in the process of re-doing my room slightly. I found a very cute polka-dot bedspread while shopping in North Carolina and now I'm trying to match some other things in my room to it. (I'll try and post a picture soon)
I would just like to take a moment to thank you, dear readers, for leaving all your wonderful comments! I so enjoy them! I have had to put comment moderation on so that I can ensure everything is pleasant and that this is a safe blog, but do not fear, I will not neglect your delightful comments!
Blessings to all of you,

  1. Hello Julia!
I love little newsy posts. :) I really liked this one.
That is so neat your brother is turning 13! I hope he has a good birthday.
I can't wait to see a picture of your room! That will be so neat.
Oh, and check out my blog. I just did a really cool post on it...

  2. I just love the NObama sidebar thingy.....where did you get that!!

  3. Hey Julia! Long time no write!! I LOVE YOUR TEMPLATE!! It's so pretty! Fall is my fave season too...

  4. Hey girls!

    Thanks Madison!

Ella, I got the picture from somone else's blog...I was blog-hopping, and I'm not sure where it was...anyway, you're welcome to copy it from me! Just right-click and click 'copy'. :)

Nice to hear from you, Brianna! :D

  5. Hey, you. :o)
Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. As long as I get up in time. I've just discovered that I have a very unusual habit of turning my alarm off...in my sleep! Now if only I could do my math that painlessly, like that one mathematician. lol :o)
Btw, I just thought about this as I was browsing your blog and decided you'd get it this way just as well as if I emailed you...so...do you want me to make the cake for Steven? That way you wouldn't have to transport it. We'd picked up a box of yellow cake mix for him yesterday. That way you wouldn't have anything to worry about. And don't take my time into consideration - I have a whole evening to kill since our dinner guests called this morning and postponed the dinner due to sickness in their family. So it'd be no problem for me at all. Of course, I wouldn't mind either if you prefered to do it. Just let me know.
(Who's off to do her unfinished math, of course.)
